Have you ever woke up with an ah-ha process going on?

This is exactly how I woke up this morning.....and bright and early I might add. Weekends are my sleeping in and refueling time but this morning the universe had a different plan for me.
So I jumped out of bed - okay maybe not jumped up but my exit out of bed this morning was an energetic one - and headed straight to the kitchen to get the coffee started.

When I reached in the cabinet for a coffee mug my Rebel Fuel mug stood out so that was the one I grabbed. The perfect gift from my friends at Creative Biz Rebellion sent to me after being on their podcast...episode 16, which you should head on over and listen to this morning good stuff for ya in this episode.

Kitchen Floor Thinking Does The Job

After pouring my cup of coffee in my super cool mug I simply sat on my kitchen floor. Weird, I know but It's something I've always done even as a small child. I would sit or lay on the cold tiled floor and think.

I sat. I sipped. I did some thinking.

Thinking about why am I having dreams with snakes in them? I'm TERRIFIED of snakes!!!! I mean like big time terrified. I get anxious just seeing a photo of a snake and I certainly don't watch any movies involving snakes.

So why do I keep having these dreams that have the scariest snakes ever in them.

I've had two dreams so far this month with this snake in it. The snake is in my house and chases me and strikes towards me but doesn't bite me.......Thank God!!! Last night's dream I'm at my daughters house visiting and now there are two snakes in my dream. Each snake pops up in different parts of the house. They aren't chasing me as much in this dream as they just keep popping up in whatever room I'm in.

So I hit the interwebs to search out a translation to the meaning of these damn snakes invading my dreams. What message are they sending me? What do I need to do to get them out of my dreams?

So what I found out about my snake dream is: 

Generally, a snake featured in a dream means that you're dealing with a difficult situation of unsettling emotions in your waking life. On the positive side of dream analysis, dreaming of snakes could also mean that healing and transformation are taking place.

  • Snakes or serpents tend to show up in dreams in times of transition and transformation
  • From the classic Freudian perspective, a snake or serpent is a phallic symbol

This got me thinking. A lot. First thought was....really, a snake could this same message be sent by a bear?  Ugh! But a snake definitely got my attention.

Several things are going on in my life at the moment. Huge things. Life changing things. These changes I'm super excited about. But, also terrified about and as a Virgo very critical about these changes.

Hello I'm A Virgo And A Control Freak

By nature Virgos are perfectionist and must have control of all things. The decisions I'm making and will be making are based with uncertainty and are unplannable to a point. Not able to make a step by step plan with exact dates is messing with me.....a lot. I know what it'll take to get from point A to point B but what I can't write next to each step is a particular date for completion. Each step is literally up in the air until one or more steps fall into place. ARGH!!!!

I knew with my present moments being in total chaos I was needing some words of wisdom. Do I pick up a book or listen to a podcast about transformations and life shifts? Do I continue to struggle because I've always worked things out in the past? WHAAAAAT do I do?

I decided I needed a little help from my friends and a few bad ass women who speak great words of wisdom.

What I noticed after I started the above list of goodness was that I was able to sleep better. My digestion improved. My anxiety calmed the F down. The snake dreams started changing. As I mentioned before the snake in my first dream chased me down striking at me with never biting me. The second dream one snake is now two snakes with less chasing but popping up in every room I was in. I'm hoping with more days/nights spent with my survival tools my future dreams of snakes will be of them leaving my presence.

Don't Ignore The Nudges

Take notice to the tapping or nudges on your shoulder and the oddness of your dreams. The universe is sending you a message. A message you need to receive. One thing that is so difficult for me to remember is that I am the only ONE that is in control of my life of the direction my life is heading. Ultimately my future depends on the decisions and actions I take today. Not daydreaming about my future but what I'm doing to for it.

The universe has your best interest at heart so pause and listen. You may not agree or like the message but at least listen and trust.

Either the class was too advanced, too long, too whatever else excuse I could come up with resulting me in not returning. Now, about those Yoga DVD's that I tried.....I absolutely hated them. The music was dumb, the setting was also dumb, and the teachers did nothing what so ever to inspire me to put that DVD back in my player and join them again.

Then one beautiful day a friend of mine invited me to join her in a 30 day Yoga practice. I thought.....ok, here we go again. But, I kept thinking about all the chicks at work that were practicing Yoga and loving it. So, I checked out the 30 day Yoga practice. Not only did I check it out. I completed it. Yep, 30 whole days of Yoga for this girl. I set me some records here. I was pretty impressed with myself for staying with it. Also, was impressed with the Yoga teacher. She is amazing. Totally love this girl. She rocks....big time.

The Curse Of Cellulite

Cellulite is probably the craziest and most frustrating topic that most if not nearly ALL of us bitches deal with. I found an article that really helps to simplify what cellulite is and a few simple techniques (which happen to be yoga poses) to perform to help with this thing called CELLULITE.

Just A Few Tweaks Here And There

Of course we all know that we must increase our H2O if we are going to get any toxins flushed from our hot bods. So drink up ladies (water that is.....eh, a little wine maybe later) and get your body flushed. Your skin will glow and you'll feel pretty damn good. 

Also by adding a little cardio in your daily routine you'll help to remove toxins, increase stamina, increase metabolism, and decrease stress. I enjoy walking so I hike every chance that I get free time and weather permitting.  I also enjoy biking outdoors, I totally despise riding a stationary bike....... sooooo boring. I park as far away as I can. I take stairs instead of the elevator. I get over 10,000 steps per day. Phew! I know. I'm crazy that way.

Yoga is such an amazing form of exercise. I honestly can say that now because last year I hated Yoga. I knew it was great for my body, but I still hated it. Now. I LOVE Yoga. I feel so damn good after I spend some time on the mat. My flexibility improves. My digestion improves. My mood improves. Bonus!!!!

The poses below you may need to modify, just go into the pose best that your body will let you (remember to relax and breathe) and you will find that over time you will be increasing your flexibility and will go further.

No More Cellulite                             

Love your legs with yoga poses that will leave them smooth and strong

Besides whipping your leg muscles into sexy shape, yoga can also help smooth out spongy thighs. "Cellulite is a symptom of reduced lymph circulation," says Atma JoAnn Levitt, RN, head of the integrative weight loss program at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA. 

If you struggle to remember biology class, lymph is the bodily fluid that carries white blood cells to the lymph nodes to fight germs.

"Yoga [helps] lymph to flow more freely through fatty areas, flushing toxins and reducing cellulite," Levitt says. Inversions—or upside-down positions—like these two are especially good for moving lymph along. Learn these poses from a teacher before attempting them on your own, then practice them once every other day for best results.

Half Shoulder Stand

1. Lie on your back with your arms resting alongside your torso.

2. Bend your knees and curl them up toward your forehead.

3. Place your hands under your hips for support, keeping your elbows on the floor. Hold for 8 to 10 deep breaths.

4. Slowly release your knees and roll your back gently down to the floor.

Plow Pose

1. Begin in half shoulder stand (above).

2. Straighten your legs, extending them back overhead and resting your toes on the floor.

3. Straighten your arms, reaching them out on the floor, palms facing down. Hold for 8 to 10 breaths.

4. Bend your knees back to your forehead and roll your back gently down to the floor.
