Imperfect Soul

Imperfect soul.......well now that's  some powerful words.

Imperfect Soul souls are what we grow

Not long ago I signed up to do an event because my friends couldn't (or rather wouldn't) stop saying how wonderful this event is and the chicks who put it together are A-MAZING.

I was a wee bit hesitant about this event, mainly due to the cost and actually the fact that I haven't done this event and I don't know if it will A-MAZING for me or not.

But these guys with their enthusiasm tamed my nerves and I jumped on board.

Money's Paid Now What?

Well let me tell ya! These chicks are A-MAZING. So they invited me to do a DIY class. And. I kind sorta freaked out a little. WHAT will I DIY. After putting some long moments and a few glasses of wine I came up with a rather brilliant idea.

People will love to make their own earrings. Better yet paint their own earrings. So, that's what I submitted. A hand painted leather earring class. They LOVED the idea.

Then, I started to sweat a little, okay a lot. How in the heck am I going to play this off. First, I gotta kinda act like I know what I'm doing. I can certainly create my own designs but to teach someone who may not have an ounce of creativity in them to create. Well. It may be an absolute hot mess of a time to be honest.

But, I'm not going to worry about that till I need to.

So the rest of the anxiety building moments are wrapped around getting the supplies together. Do I cut out the shapes or let them? Do I trust them with my expensive leather cutting scissors? Do I give them 2, 4, 6. or more choices of paint? Do I supply aprons or let the poor fools ruin their clothes (and why do I even care).

All of these matters so much to me because I want them to have an A-MAZING time and create an awesome pair of earrings........and they will. I'm totes sure of it.

If That Wasn't Enough

These A-MAZING chicks also asked if I would kindly donate a piece of jewelry for a drawing and in return I could have my designs on one of the local news.

WHAT!! I most certainly said YES.

But. Then I spent days trying to come up with the perfect pieces (that needed to be in fall colors per news station request). I'm not even kidding I spent at the very least 2 hours arranging and rearranging bracelets on displays until I found the look I was looking for. Then drove through one of KC's thunderstorms to deliver the items. Just so you know I made it safely.

These chicks are A-Mazing and they are Gaby and Aimee of Chick Event. These two ladies are wonderful to work with and I'm super excited to be part of their event.

Sometimes you just need to take that leap of faith to find a connection to others.

Stay tuned for the recap of the DIY class on September 9th. It should be entertaining to say the least.
